Turkish American Association for Business held the Annual Dinner at The Houstonian Hotel on February 22, 2006, located 111 North Post Oak Lane, Houston, Texas, 77024. The evening was a great success for TAAB and we thank all our guests especially Mike Inselmann, Ambassador Atilla Uzer and TAAB corporate sponsors who participated in this wonderful event.

The event began with registration and reception at the dining area. Following the introduction and recognition of our corporate sponsors, it was time for our keynote speaker for the evening, Mike Inselmann.

Mike Inselmann is the president of Metrostudy, which is the leading provider of primary and secondary market information to the housing and related industries nationwide. In addition to providing information, the company is recognized for its consulting expertise on development, marketing and economic issues, and is a key source of research studies evaluating the marketability of residential and commercial real estate projects. Services are offered through an extensive network of offices strategically located in major metropolitan areas throughout the country. The company is based in Houston, Texas, and was established in 1975 by founders Michael Castleman, Sr. and Michael Inselmann.

Mr. Inselmann addressed the audience with a great speech about real estate, the local economic situation, and its impact on housing in Texas, especially Houston. Following his speech, Mike Inselmann was presented a gift by Pinar Ceyhan. The gift was provided by Asia Minor. Asia Minor is a local store in Houston offering distinct, elegant furnishings and decor imported from Turkey.

TAAB President Dogan Baysal gave the final speech for 2006 review and calendar. The evening was concluded by door prizes ceremony.

This was TAAB’s 4th Annual Dinner where the three previous keynote speakers included The City of Houston Mayor Bill White, Port of Houston Commissioner, James T. Edmonds, and the President and CEO of Sterling Bancshares, J. Downey Bridgewater which were attended by more than 200 professionals respectively.
